Badge has been named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2024. One of only two companies recognized in Privacy & Security, Badge has been selected as one of “the most impactful new products and ideas” of the year.

As the TIME Editors explained in How We Picked the Best Inventions of 2024, the TIME Editors “evaluated each contender on a number of key factors, including originality, efficacy, ambition, and impact.” Badge was picked as one of the “list of 200 groundbreaking inventions” of the year “that are changing how we live, work, play, and think about what’s possible.”

Specifically, Badge was recognized as “A More Secure Logon.” The article notes: “Rather than store biometric data in a database, Badge creates a unique key, using advanced cryptography, every time someone logs in using their face, voice, or other such means. Nothing is stored centrally, and the key is temporary—so there’s nothing to steal if hacked.”
